Trust me, on the long flight from YVR to Sydney or Brisbane the seats are very uncomfortable! Hardly any room to even move your feet to avoid them swelling up. Anyone who is taller than 5’7 is going to have their knees hitting the seat in front. It is not pleasant and I don’t know why airlines are going backwards in this regard!

Flown the BA a380 on this route and Miami. Upstairs looks way more comfy than this. Superb aircraft

Thank you for posting this! I was curious about this flight… I’ve never flown on the a380 and although I’m a diehard queen of the skies I think I need to fly the king at least once and pick the 777 for the return trip… all those people on the plane must be a tad…. Annoying 😂😂

BA food may be bad but their flight deck announcements are the best

Lovely trip report. It's great to be on an A380 for nearly 11 hours, and I like your wing view. I don't think BA'd retrofit their A380 in the future too, because I don't think they have long-term plan for these jumbo jets

The Imeldas first started themselves going to the Toronto Pearson International Airport Wednesday, August 06 at 9PM 🕘 in the evening Eastern Time (which is Thursday, August 07 at 9AM in the morning Manila Time); Grabe po ha! They had late Wednesday dinner in the airport few hours before departure.. And then when, in Toronto Canada, it was finally 1AM Thursday, August 07 (following day), in terms of Eastern Daylight Time, they finally boarded the plane and departed Toronto, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 and they headed to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 first.. And then another Cathay Pacific flight to Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭 Friday morning August 08 at 9AM 🕘 Manila/Hong Kong time which are respectively HKT and PHST

And that same plane diverted to Boston because of fumes onboard a month ago…

I flew back from Los Angeles on BA A380 in 2015 for 1st time. Was had a bit turbulence coming back but made it. Again flew into LA in 2019 same aircraft

Passengers aren’t they getting a bit too spoiled?? By saying BA definitely needs/must refurbish their cabin!! Do you know that it’s come at a cost and depending on how long the 380 will stay in the fleet does it worth it!!!???? Just be happy traveling on a 380 they are getting fewer and fewer ..!!! Ppl don’t get the chance they have just to enjoy things simply. A Q’s, I saw faces of cabin crew were they asked permission to be filmed and exposed ??

Great trip report! FYI, BA will be retro fitting all their A380 cabins starting from this summer and concluding in 2026.

I’ve flown this route many times with different airlines. Back in 2018, I flew this route on the BA A380 on the upper deck, was a great experience. That was on G-XLED but I flew this exact aircraft (G-XLEC) just last year from SFO-LHR!

Took this flight in May…Business Class upper deck…great flight/experience…love the A380, and the BA cabin crew was very professional

Classic UK weather at the beginning. Funny enough I’m flying CX256 in economy! At a bar in terminal 3 right now and it’s actually quite sunny! Also the plane you are flying on (B-KQC) has had its livery changed! This old Cathay livery is quite rare now! Also the economy colours have changed! Green now. Also the screen quality has been changed and is much better now! Touchscreen so amazing on B77W, A359 and A35K! How much things have changed it crazy 😅

Wow, that's the first time I have seen lightning hitting the plane from so near. It's cool, but also quite dangerous; the plane had been climbing for only a few minutes when it hit. For a 10-hour flight, a meal and a snack were not enough. That legroom didn't look so comfortable even on a 5-hour flight
